Our First FUNDRAISER...not just for us but OTHERS too!!!

We are into our first fundraiser! This fundraiser, however, is a bit different. It will benefit not only us but potentially 4-7 other families as well.
You see, since we live overseas it makes it a bit more difficult to have a home study done. We are limited on social workers. Thankfully we have found one in Germany who is VERY well known and comes highly recommended. His name is Randy Barlow and if you are interested in checking him out, his website is www.randybarlow.com. Since he is located in Germany however, not only are we responsible for the $2500 home study fee, we are also responsible for his travel, stay, and return to his home in Germany. This is costly and an added expense.
Thankfully, there are other families in need of his services and we are all trying to coordinate to get him here at a time that will be good for each of us, thus we can share his expense.
Today we all met! It was wonderful to chat with other families who are on the adoptive journey too. There is a family adoption from Colombia, another from China, another from the States, another undecided like we are, and then several who need post placement reports. We are in this together to get Mr. Barlow down here and decided it would be a blessing to fundraise his traveling costs. We hope to raise $1000.
