Yesterday was a very exciting day as I toted our application and $150 fee to the NAS Naples base Post Office for mailing. Handing that over is the just the beginning of this journey but I was able to breathe a sigh of relief and pray a prayer of Thanksgiving to the Lord for his blessings and guidance.
We were able to easily choose our agency after conversations with the agency director on Friday and the program director on Monday. PEACE is all I can say amounted from those conversations! We are taking a HUGE step of faith with Adoption-Link and their Uganda program!!! We will be the SECOND family in this program!!! It is a pilot program and therefore is risky business, but we have faith! Faith that the Lord directed us to an agency that has a heart for orphans and integrity before God, the Ugandan government, and our own government in placing these children with their forever families. The process is intense and one I will share with you in a different post...but nevertheless it is a process we see integrity in.
So far this journey has been pain free....but I know the trials are lurking around the corner. Satan and his angels DO NOT like what we are about to do. He does not like the "redemptive plan" that this adoption pictures of our Lord Jesus Christ and His plan for mankind. Please keep us in your prayers.
It's so important to really grasp how much the enemy dislikes adoption. You will find all kinds of obstacles that you can't even begin to imagine right now. It's worth it.
